Time for a Story

I am blogging after a real long time, and nothing like starting off with a story.

I took 2 books from the library few months back, thinking that I will finish them off pretty soon. But in reality, those books were just lying around in my room everywhere. Just that I didn't even start reading them. Well, this is not a good sign at all!!! I am not reading books, something must have gone crazy in me.

To my surprise, I received a book from one of my friend on the same day when I was in this thought. The book is definitely big. But from a good author, I have read the previous books of this author, and have thoroughly enjoyed reading those books. So I thought that this book is going to rekindle my reading habit, and I happily wait for the evening to come.

I took the book around 11:30 pm (obviously tired by then, but with a positive note to start reading) and started reading the prologue and the cover pages for sensing the nature of the book. And then I just browsed through some pages. And then. That’s all I remember. I don't recollect when I doze off. Next morning when I woke up, I felt horribly bad that my attempt to start reading has failed one more time.

This is not going good... I had to do something about.. I took those 2 library books and returned them yesterday, and took 2 other books which I love the most. Can you guess what those books are???

1. Popeye The Sailor man comic
2. Agatha Christie Graphic Novel

All my childhood, I started my day with watching Popeye the Sailor man Cartoon. I would have watched the same cartoons 100 times, but never really got bored of watching it. I was not at all aware that those cartoons existed in Comic versions. I was totally excited when I saw the book, and I had to take it.

Agatha Christie's mystery novels have always been my favorite, but I tend to rush in reading her stories in novel format. But the same stories when in Graphic Novel form, I just loved it...

Like the other day, I waited for the evening to come, and the clock did strike 11:30 pm, and I am still deciding which of these 2 books to start first. After few mins of thought, I started reading Popeye Comic... I read it very slowly, enjoying each every sentence of the book. I took 30 mins to read just one single comic from that book. The comic is really funny, and is definitely meant for kids. But I kind of relived my childhood days of watching the cartoon, and like a kid, I happily went to sleep. There at that moment, my love for books started again, and the marathon of reading continues!!!

Here is one small comic strip for people who are forced to read this blog :)

Happy reading!!!!
